Peru 2016

In January 2016 members of the Alliance for International Medicine traveled to Piura, Peru, where we met with government, healthcare and regional officials to discuss surgical and anesthesia needs of the hospitals in the area. Visiting the National Hospital of Piura, Santa Rosa, and Paita near the port, we were able to listen, observe, and work with local doctors and officials to formulate a plan that would be sustainable and have the greatest impact on their surgical and anesthesia services.  We found enthusiastic and dedicated professionals who are highly committed to caring for their patients.
